Thaiagarajar polytechnic college offers job oriented three year diploma programmes in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics engineering, approved by the State Board of Technical Education, Thiruvananthapuram and All India Council for Technical Education, Delhi.

Students can take admission for diploma programmes either of the two schemes; Regular scheme and Lateral Entry Scheme. Approved intake for the regular scheme is 60 and for lateral entry scheme is 10% of approved intake. Additional 5% of the approved intake is also allotted for financially backward candidates in regular admission. Management quota application is available in the download link. Take a printout of the same, fill and submit along with prescribed fee and the hard copy of the Management Quota form available in www.polyadmission.org.

85% seats of the approved intake are government seats and shall be admitted by the government according to their reservation policy. Admission to the rest 15% seats shall be done by the management based on the minimum eligibility conditions prescribed for the programme.

The admission to diploma programme is governed by the State Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Kalamassery based on the rules and regulations issued by the Government of Kerala through a single window system, www.polyadmission.org.
